With power rating of up to 582 kW, it is the most compact in its category – delivering the performance of a 18 litre within the architecture of a 13-litre unit.
This 6-cylinder engine is also the only 16-litre on the market specifically designed to withstand heavy-duty off-road missions.
Best-in-class fuel consumption (11% better than competitors average) has been reached by downsizing engine displacement and adopting second generation Common Rail with pressures of up to 2,200 bar.
